To complete our UK dive calendar for 2014 (well, for the minute anyway) we have added early season long weekends to Swanage and the Farne Islands.

Farne Islands – May 3rd, 4th, 5th

Farnes Seal

The Farne Islands has to be one of my most favourite UK locations to dive … and this is why! The Farne Islands offer superb diving in some of the clearest waters in the UK Situated just 10 minutes boat ride from picturesque Seahouses Harbour, the Farnes are steeped in nature, history and superstition….. and seals!

This is a 3 day trip on Saturday 3, Sunday 4 & Monday, 5 May 2014. We’re diving with the excellent Sovereign Diving. This is a recreational trip to a maximum depth of 30M for 12 divers – plenty of opportunities (both in and out of the water), to observe the largest seal colony in the North Sea.

This trip costs £235 it includes: 3 days hard boat diving with two dives each day and 3 nights B&B accommodation on Friday 2, Saturday 3 and Sunday 3, May 2014

Swanage – 24th – 26th May 2014

Swanage CATAnd now to the location of  my first UK sea dives, which led to the desire to do many many more dives. The main attraction for us divers is the enormous variety of wrecks outside the bay! Take advantage of the long early Spring Bank Holiday, this is a 3 day recreational wreck trip to a max depth of 40M for 12 divers on Saturday 24, Sunday 25 and Monday, 26 May 2014.

Diving with Divers Down, Ken’s chosen this weekend because it offers the opportunity to dive metal every dive and the prospect of getting on the Warwick Deeping (a bit of a trek to the IOW), the WD has to be dived on high water, close to a neap – like this weekend! The dive mix is almost certainly to include: the Kyarra – 32M, the Aeolian Sky – 30M, the Borgny – 32M, the Warwick Deeping – 34M, other possible wrecks include: the Castlereagh – 33M, the Venezuela – 27M, the Aparima – a little deeper at 42M, last but no means least – Betsy Anne – 25M.

This trip costs £295, it includes: 3 days hard boat diving with two dives each day and 3 nights B&B accommodation at the Ocean Lodge on Friday 23, Saturday 24 and Sunday 25, May 2014.
