Chris meets Royalty

Today was a very special day for BSAC. HRH The Prince of Wales, President of BSAC from 1974 to 2014, accompanied by The Duke of Cambridge, who recently succeeded HRH as President of BSAC, attended a reception to mark the handover of the Presidency.

Our very own Chris Elliott, (and super-hero of KUSAC) was invited by BSAC to attend in recognition of his efforts with KUSAC in organising the series of Thames River Clean Projects – a real honour!

The Duke of Cambridge also took the plunge himself at the event, being held in London’s West End. He met a group of young snorkellers, some of BSAC’s youngest members, and practiced putting on masks, fins and snorkels before carrying out a snorkelling session. He then buddy up with a young scuba diver to do a short pool dive.

While The Duke of Cambridge was scuba diving, The Prince of Wales was taken on a short journey through a series of storyboards which detail a range of activities and opportunities which BSAC members enjoy including the Litterpick. Chris meets Royalty 2
